Youth Truth Survey

Dear Falcon Family Member,

As many of you know we have been working on the Clinton-Massie Local Schools Strategic Plan for the past year. We received a great amount of input from students, staff, families, and community members. We have formulated a strategic plan that we are in the process of deploying within the district. We will share information with our stakeholders regarding this plan soon.

One of the areas that we are going to focus on this year will be the “Voice of the Student”. This key process centers around student engagement rates, gathering current student opinions, dissatisfaction rates of both students and parents/caregivers, addressing student complaints, and building student relationships. In order for us to know how, when, and why we improved it is important to gather baseline data. We need to see how parents/caregivers and students feel about the work Clinton-Massie is doing in the aforementioned categories.

In order to gather data efficiently and allow for a deep dive into the results, we have partnered with Youth Truth. Youth Truth is a non-profit organization that has over twenty years of experience surveying the education community. YouthTruth Student surveys will be distributed to all students in grades six through twelve. We will also distribute a survey to all parents/caregivers with children in grades K-12. Youth Truth surveys harnesses student and stakeholder perceptions to help educators accelerate improvements. Please stress to your student the importance of his or her responses.

We would like to hear from you! The survey for parents can be found here or you can paste this URL into your browser http://www.ytsurvey.org/cmlsfamily20. The average time to complete the parent survey is under 15 minutes. The parent survey window will close on November 20th. Your answers will help shape our future and the future of our students. Thank you for your support as we strive for excellence.
