Superintendent

Welcome to Clinton-Massie Local Schools!

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as Superintendent of Clinton-Massie Local Schools. As I begin my fourth year as superintendent and my tenth year at Clinton-Massie, I remain incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve a community that cares deeply about its students, its schools, and one another.

Every year, I am reminded that the work we do in education is really about a journey. A student walks through our doors as a kindergartener full of hope, curiosity, and possibility. Thirteen years later, that student walks across the stage as a graduate with a story shaped by thousands of moments, relationships, challenges, successes, and opportunities along the way.

Everything we do happens in between.

That idea is at the heart of our theme for the 2026–2027 school year: #OwnJOY. It reflects our belief that joy is more than a feeling or a good day. Joy grows from purpose, meaningful work, strong relationships, and knowing that what we do matters. Our challenge this year is not simply to find joy, but to intentionally create the conditions where it can grow.

For our staff and students, #OwnJOY is an invitation to focus on three commitments:

  • Own Growth: Keep learning, keep improving, and become the person others need you to be.
  • Own Team: Recognize that none of us does this work alone. We support one another, contribute to something bigger than ourselves, and work together to give every student the best possible Clinton-Massie experience.
  • Own Story: Every interaction matters. The experiences we create today become part of the stories our students will tell tomorrow.

Those commitments support our district vision to Inspire Learners, Empower Community, and Achieve Excellence. They also remind us that excellence is not found only in test scores, championships, performances, awards, or graduation ceremonies. It is built every day in classrooms, hallways, buses, cafeterias, athletic fields, stages, offices, and conversations throughout our district.

Clinton-Massie is a special place because of the people who call it home. We are proud of our traditions, excited about our future, and committed to making sure every student feels known, valued, challenged, and supported.

When you see me around our schools or at a district event, please stop and say hello. I look forward to another outstanding year of learning, growth, relationships, and meaningful moments together.
