The Clinton-Massie Local Schools Preschool Program serves children ages 3-5 who reside in our district. We are a 5 Star rated preschool program by the Ohio Department of Education’s Step Up to Quality program.

The Clinton Massie Local Schools Preschool Program was developed to serve children with a wide variety of special needs in response to a federal mandate that requires the provision of special education services (to children ages three to five) by public school districts. The current program model was adopted to include children with typical development in order to create a community of learners, one with an appropriate and enriching environment and experience for all.

Three-year-old students with identified special needs are able to attend preschool at Clinton-Massie. Same-aged peers must be 4 years old and potty trained by August 1st to attend preschool. We currently have 4 inclusive classrooms at Clinton-Massie Elementary School. We offer a variety of class types based on the Ohio Department of Education’s mandate: general education classroom (10 same-aged peers and 8 students with special needs), integrated classroom (8 same-aged peers and 8 students with special needs) and special education classroom (7 same-aged peers and 8 students with special needs).
